What can we reason but from what we know? -Alexander Pope

Strokes from other Pens

Letter to the Editor

To my beloved patients and coworkers at Haxtun Health, it is with very deep sadness that I announce my sudden and unexpected departure from Haxtun Health. For the last five years it has been my delight to have served this wonderful community and to have had the pleasure to know many of you as your family doctor and/or co-worker.

I will truly miss the relationships I have formed with my patients. Serving all of you has been an honor.

For those of you that I have formed a professional relationship with, I will certainly miss the rapport we have built and shared while working together.

We are still processing this unanticipated circumstance and trust that our Lord and Savior Jesus will guide us in our upcoming decisions.

I would truly like to thank all of those who have reached out with care and concern. The outpouring of love and support has truly been humbling and means the world to Casey and myself.

My wife and I love this great community of Haxtun. We have formed strong bonds of friendship with many of you. We had always planned to stay in this wonderful town indefinitely and raise our family here. We moved our extended family here and just built our dream home with the intent to remain here permanently. Unfortunately, with this unforeseen circumstance, that may no longer be. We promise to keep the community informed, as God reveals His plan for our future.

Whatever God’s will is for our future, Haxtun will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

With love,

Dr. Ben Stephenson and family
