Kelley Hunt

Kelley Dean Hunt passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 9, 2024. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Kelley was born on Feb. 22, 1958 and adopted to Charles Evert Hunt, Jr. and Leona May (Salvador) Hunt. Kelley is a 1976 graduate of Haxtun High School.

Born with a deep connection to the land, Kelley found joy and purpose in farming - a passion that shaped much of his early life. Later, he embarked on a career as an over-the-road truck driver, where he embraced the open road with determination and resilience. Whether tending to fields or navigating highways across the country, Kelley's work reflected a rock-steady spirit and dedication.

Kelley is survived by his wife Min Liu; son Dustin (Kelsey) Hunt, Aberdeen, S.D.; and grandsons Wesson and Oakley. He is also survived by his mother, Leona Hunt, Haxtun, sister Mindy Hunt, Sterling.

Kelley is preceded in death by his father, Charles Hunt.
