What can we reason but from what we know? -Alexander Pope
Students in Mrs. Cindy Johnson's kindergarten class in Fleming shared their favorite Thanksgiving recipes for the holiday season.
Charlie - Pumpkin Pie
First put sugar, eggs and that brown stuff made out of water. Oh vanilla. Then mix it and then like put water in it and mix it again then put it in the pan to make a cake form then put it in the cooler and put frosting on it. Then that's it.
Easton - Sweet Corn
First you put seed corn into the ground then you water it the rain waters it then it keeps it wet until it's done growing and then you cook it and then you eat it.
Makara - Gravy
Put pepper and salt and cook it in the pot for 15 minutes stir it then you put it on mashed potatoes.
Grace - Carrots
I wash them up then I put them in a bag and eat them cold.
Lucille - Rolls
Cook the bread plain and then put sugar on it. Cook more bread plain then put sugar on it. Six minutes in the oven.
Olivia - Sweet Corn
You get it from the garden and you bake it until it's ready. You add some orange and red stuff that tastes good. It's sour.
Lukas - Rolls
Get the rolls out and finish them. You put them in the oven for 20 minutes on a little hot and that's how you make them.
Lane - Turkey
Shoot the turkey then put it in the oven for 22 hours at 22°. Add some cinnamon to it that makes it good. Put it back in the oven for 13 minutes and then it's ready to eat.
