Haxtun kindergarteners share favorite Thanksgiving recipes

In the spirit of Thanksgiving week, students in Mrs. Christie Philp's kindergarten class in Haxtun shared their favorite recipes for the holiday season.

Emory - Deviled Eggs

Cook the eggs in water. Take the shells off. Put salt, pepper and cinnamon in the yolks. Mix it all up. Then you eat them.

Sylar - Turkey

Turn the oven on to 50 degrees. Put some salt and pepper on the turkey. Put it in the oven for 50 minutes. Take it out and eat it.

Jack - Pumpkin Pie

Smash the pumpkins. Put cinnamon in the smashed pumpkins. Put the batter in a circle pan. Put the pan in the oven, set at six degrees. Bake for five minutes. Take the pie out of the oven and put whipped cream on it.

Jaxy - Brownies

You will need a bowl. In the bowl you will mix eggs, milk, cocoa powder and butter. Stir everything together. Put it in the oven for 15 minutes.

Koda - Chocolate cake

You will need eggs and milk. Stir it all together. Turn on the oven to one degree. Bake the cake for 20 minutes.

Lorenzo - Deviled Eggs

Put the eggs in boiling water. Take the eggs out of the pan and let them cool on a towel. Peel the eggs. Chop the eggs in half. Take out the yummy yellow stuff. Smush it. Mix in cinnamon and a little food dye to make it look cool. Put it back in the egg. Put some hot pepper on top. Eat them!

Quincy - Turkey

Grandma gets the turkey. She cooks it in the oven, at 80 degrees, for 60 minutes. Take it out of the oven. Put cinnamon and honey on top. Cut it up. Then take a big bite!

Cole - Egg Sandwiches

You will need two eggs. Cook them on the stove for 20 minutes in a pan. Butter two slices of bread. Lay the eggs flat on the bread. Put it together and eat it.

Madison - Turkey

First you catch the turkey. Put salt and pepper on the turkey. Cook the turkey in the oven in a big pan. Set the oven at super duper hot. Bake it for 20 minutes. Cut it up. Eat it.

Aubrey - Turkey

Grandpa shoots the turkey and brings it home. Turn the oven on to super hot. Put some seasoning on the turkey then bake it in the oven for 20 minutes. Cut it up and eat it.

Preston - Turkey

Put the turkey in the pan. Bake the turkey in the oven set at 40 degrees for 18 minutes. Take out the turkey. Grab a turkey leg and eat it.

Yaritza - Strawberry cake

Make the batter. Roll it out. Put it in the oven, set at five degrees, for five minutes.

Magus - Blue and yellow cake

Make the dough. Put it in the oven at one degree. When the oven beeps take out the cake and decorate it. Eat it all up.

Wade - Grandma's Pumpkin Pie

Get pumpkins. Roll the pumpkins so they are smashed. She pours the batter in a pie pan and bakes it. The oven is set at super hot. Bake it for one hour. Then we eat it.

Greyson - Pumpkin Pie

Grandma makes it at her house then brings it over to our house. I don't know how she does it but it is so good!

Xylina - Turkey

First put salt and pepper on the turkey. Put some oatmeal on it. Put it in the oven set at really hot. Bake the turkey for seven minutes. Cut it up and eat it!
