On Oct. 24, Alyssa Molde celebrated the completion of her Ogallala Commons Internship with a Harvesting Ceremony, marking a milestone in her professional and personal growth. Molde completed her internship at Retread Threads in Haxtun, a local nonprofit, where she gained valuable work experience.
Throughout her internship, Alyssa engaged in hands-on work, gaining valuable skills in areas such as retail management, customer service and nonprofit experience. Her internship was sponsored by Prairie IT, an organization committed to supporting local talent and fostering community development through partnerships like Ogallala Commons and Phillips County Economic Development.
The Harvesting Ceremony, a tradition of the Ogallala Commons Internship program, allows interns to reflect on and celebrate their accomplishments while sharing their experiences with the community. This milestone represents both the culmination of Molde's efforts and the beginning of her ongoing contributions to the local area.
"We are proud to support young people like Alyssa as they develop their skills and make meaningful connections in our community," Mikey Brown, Phillips County Economic Development said. "This experience provides invaluable training that will serve her well in her future endeavors."
