Larry David Rutledge entered into eternal life on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024 at the age of 80.
Larry was born Nov. 14, 1943 in Auburn, Neb. to Carroll Carson and Cora Merle (Hutchinson) Rutledge. Larry enlisted in the United States Army at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. and was honorably discharged on April 24, 1965. He married Carolyn Sue Henderson on Dec. 28, 1971 in Loveland. Larry worked as an engineer at Lockheed Martin for many years.
Larry is survived by his wife Carolyn; daughters Barbara Holsapfel, Carrie and husband Greg Zimmerman and Catherine Castillo; grandchildren Cora (Karma), Triston, Dawna, Katie, Lincoln, Dane, Trinity and Lexanna.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Norma Jean Hoff; and brother John Carroll Rutledge.
Memorial contributions may be made in Larry's name to Berean Bible Church, 137 W. Bryan, Haxtun, CO 80731.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 1 at the Berean Bible Church in Haxtun with Pastor Don LaRue and Pastor Matt Waitley officiating. Larry will be laid to rest with military honors at the Fleming Cemetery.
