Fire department responds to fence fire

HAXTUN FIREMEN Ron Carpenter and Joel Woodside work to put out a fire in the backyard of a residence on the south side of Haxtun on Saturday afternoon. According to Fire Chief Garrett Krogmeier the fire started in a compost pile that then spread to the wooden privacy fence next to it. There were no injuries reported with the incident.
