Blake Krueger

Blake Anthony Krueger passed away Oct. 7, 2024 at the age of 32.

Blake was born May 14, 1992 in Haxtun to Forrest Benge and Melissa Krueger. Growing up, Blake lived in Amherst on his Grandpa Krueger's farm until moving to Sterling. He was a graduate of Sterling High School with the Class of 2011. While in high school, he met the love of his life Danielle Petarde and they were married on May 27, 2017. After he graduated from high school, he worked for Industrial Welding for 10 years. He then went to work in the oilfield industry working for Nextier and most recently Surefire.

Blake and Danielle built a beautiful life together and welcomed their baby girl Madison into the world on Jan. 13, 2022. He was an amazing husband and father. Blake loved any outdoor activity, playing video games with his friends and family and watching anime. Blake was a jokester, he always had a smile on his face and he loved to make people laugh. He was always there to help anyone with a project, even a stranger. Most of all he loved traveling with his little family. Blake was one of a kind and will be deeply missed.

Blake is survived by his wife Danielle, Sterling; daughter Madison; mother Melissa Rose, Colorado Springs; father Forrest Benge and wife Amber, Alliance, Neb.; sisters Cadie Warner, Rapid City, S.D., and Hailey Warner, Colorado Springs; brothers Austen Warner, Rapid City, Tanner Benge and wife Ashley, Minden, Neb., and Trevor Benge and wife Brittany, Axtell, Neb.; grandma Joyce Cook-Krueger, Vancouver, Wash.; grandpa Danny "Boone" Andrews, Sterling; father-in-law Mark Petarde, Sterling; mother-in-law Sherry Petarde, Sterling; and sisters-in-law Heather Petarde, Sterling, and Julianne Petarde, Sterling; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends.

He is preceded in death by his great-grandpa Russell Krueger; great-grandma Donna Krueger; grandma Janet Andrews; grandpa Brian Krueger; and grandpa Gary Benge.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Tennant Funeral Home.
