After more than 40 years of dedicated service in the healthcare industry, Dewane Pace has announced his retirement as Chief Executive Officer of Haxtun Health. Pace's leadership has been instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare in our community, guiding the hospital through significant growth and development over the past seven years.
During his tenure, Pace oversaw the introduction of new service lines, the recruitment of a full medical staff and the establishment of two new clinics, ensuring that Haxtun Hospital District remains a vital resource for the health and well-being of our community.
Reflecting on his time at Haxtun Hospital District, Dewane expressed pride in the progress made and optimism for the future of the hospital.
"The hospital has made substantial improvements over the past seven years and it is time for a change in leadership. I am thankful for the opportunity to have served the hospital and the community and look forward to seeing Haxtun Health continue it's positive trajectory," he said.
Pace's efforts have positioned the hospital to continue providing exceptional care to patients for years to come. While Pace will be stepping down from his role, he plans to be available to support the hospital during the transition period to ensure a smooth change in leadership.
As part of that transition, the Board of Directors has asked Julia Biesemeier, the current Chief Operating Officer, to assist with CEO responsibilities for the time being. The Board will be in discussions regarding the search for a new CEO to lead the organization in the future.
Haxtun Health is committed to continuing its mission of providing high-quality healthcare to the community and looks forward to building on the strong foundation it has established.
