Quilters earn honors in show

The 2024 High Plains Heritage Quilters Corn Festival Quilt Show had more than 169 visitors with 48 quilt entries.

The show was held on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Haxtun Community Center.

The Ann Olson Plaque Award went to Sue Kurtzer with her quilt Grandma’s Fan made by Barbara Kurtzer. Maureen Waite took first place honors, Kim Guernsey came in second and Isabelle Schropfer won third. Barb Holtzman won the quilt block.

Rick Olson was the winner of the 2024 quilt raffle.
