Informational meeting on DC Trips for Haxtun students to be held Oct. 1

DC Trips is preparing for a trip to Washington, D.C. in June 2026. Trips include a once-in-a-lifetime educational adventure for Haxtun students to the Nation’s capital for students to visit the area rich in history and brings curriculum to life, providing lessons that will stay with students throughout their lives.

Trip highlights include Gettysburg Battlefield Mount Vernon, Capitol Hill, Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, memorials for Jefferson, MLK, and FDR, National Cathedral, The White House, Smithsonian Museums, Lincoln Memorial, Ford’s Theatre and more.

The trip is five days, four nights and includes all meals, flights, hotels, security and transportation. World Strides offers financial assistance program for families with adjusted household incomes of $85,000 or less. Additionally, the Gifts of Education fundraising program ensures that 100 percent of money raised by students goes directly towards offsetting trip costs.

The DC Club has an account at Points West Community Bank, serving as a holding place for funds and donations.
