Incumbents to retain three seats

Incumbents Ryan Horton, Tana Pope and Jon Brammer will fill four-year terms on the Haxtun Town Council beginning in November. The three are the only interested community members to return petitions to seek a seat on the local town council.

Horton and Pope will return to the Council for four year terms and Brammer will be appointed to his first, four-year term.

Brammer is currently completing a term for a former council member who resigned mid-shift. He was appointed to the town council vacancy in February.

According to Municipal Clerk Kelsey Harms, the Haxtun Town Council plans to officially cancel elections by resolution in an upcoming October meeting and Horton, Pope and Brammer will take their oaths of office to remain seated at the council table in November.
