Colorado Housing and Finance Authority

1. Please give some background/history on the opening/purchase of your business.

For 50 years, Colorado Housing and Finance Authority has strengthened Colorado by investing in affordable housing and community development.

2. Who are the owners/key players in your business?

CHFA was created in 1973 by the Colorado General Assembly to address the shortage of affordable housing in Colorado and began its work in 1974. CHFA is self-funded and is not a state agency. CHFA does not receive any direct appropriations.

3. What services/products do you offer your customers?

CHFA has invested more than $35.3 billion into Colorado's economy since 1974. These resources have helped homebuyers achieve homeownership, businesses access capital to support job creation and retention and affordable housing units be developed or preserved. CHFA is known for its commitment to innovation and customer service. In addition, CHFA offers a wide variety of professional education classes and technical assistance to help their customers and community partners succeed.

4. Where are you located and how can a customer find/contact you?

CHFA works all over the state and I live and work in the Eastern region, which includes Weld, Morgan, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick, Phillips, Yuma, Lincoln, Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties. You can email me at [email protected] or call (970) 812-1151.
