√ Colorado Primary Election results released for Federal and State Offices

With all 64 Colorado counties reporting, the State had only a 25.72 percent voter turnout for the 2024 Primary Election held June 25. Statewide, 977,525 ballots were cast from a total of 3,801,029 registered active voters.

By contrast, Phillips County had a 52.04 percent voter turnout with 1,443 ballots cast of 2,773 registered active voters.

In addition to voting for the next two-year term for the United States House District 4 seat, electors within District 4 also voted in a special election for the person to fill the remainder of the current term that was vacated by Congressman Ken Buck in March.

Of local interest, Holyoke's own Hannah Goodman was on the ballot for the special election as a Libertarian candidate. Goodman chairs Colorado's Libertarian Party, the third largest political party in the State. Minor parties do not participate in the Primary Election so they are not mailed a ballot as are the Republican, Democratic and unaffiliated active registered voters. Goodman received 8,895 votes from Congressional District 4 voters. She has already been qualified to appear on the General Election ballot in November.

Refer to the two tables, at left, for a full reporting of the election results for federal and state offices. Results are from the Colorado Secretary of State's Office, with all 64 counties reporting, as of 11:33 a.m. on June 28. Vote counts are considered unofficial by the Secretary of State's Office until the entire election process is closed out later this month.

The tables allow for Phillips County voters to compare the County's results to the overall districtwide or statewide results. Vote counts for the latter include the Phillips County vote count. Names are in the order of the Phillips County highest to lowest vote counts. Names with checkmarks are the primary election winners whose names will appear on November's General Election ballot.
