Haxtun BOE hires Jones as Superintendent

Aron Jones has been named Superintendent of Haxtun Schools. Jones' announcement came Tuesday afternoon following a community meet and greet Monday evening and board interviews Tuesday morning. His contract date is slated for July 1.

Jones graduated from Pueblo Central High School and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from the University of Southern Colorado with a minor in Elementary Education and a K-6 teaching license. He later received his Master of Arts in Education/Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix with a K-12 principal license and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Jones has a Superintendent Endorsement from the University of Colorado.

The newly appointed Superintendent is also CTE Director certified and just recently completed the Principal Leadership Institute training.

Jones and his wife Vanessa have one son who just recently graduated from high school. They currently live in Fort Morgan.
