Bulldogs return to track at Bill Kalb Invitational

Spring weather finally allowed high school tracksters to compete this week. The Haxtun Bulldogs competed in the 56th annual Yuma Bill Kalb Invitational on Monday, April 8. Top-10 results from the meet are as follows:

Girls

1,600-meter run: Jinjer Stroyek, sixth, 7:06.19.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: seventh, 56.80.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: 10th, 2:06.42.

Sprint medley relay team: 10th, 2:16.35.

Four-by-800-meter relay team: fifth, 13.39.44.

High jump: Jayleigh Bullard, second, five feet; Lexi Imhof, sixth, four feet, six inches.

Triple jump: Bullard, fourth, 31 feet, eight inches.

Discus: Cassidy Goddard, first, 130 feet, five inches; Zoe Kurtzer, sixth, 99 feet, three inches; Reagan Jones, 10th, 93 feet, three inches.

Shot put: Goddard, third, 34 feet, eight inches.

Boys

100-meter dash: Grant Statz, third, 11.85; Zach Statz, fifth, 11.98; Ryland Wolff, sixth, 12.00.

1,600-meter run: Aiden Starkebaum, ninth, 5:46.91.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: sixth, 47.75.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: sixth, 1:40.34.

Four-by-400-meter relay team: ninth, 4:16.00.
