What can we reason but from what we know? -Alexander Pope
I’ve got nothing to do and it’s keeping me busy!
What do you do when there is “nothing” to do?
Well, my solution is to pick up the “Docket Gold” yellow pad, find my uni-ball ink pen and start writing “Under The Wire!”
Surprisingly within minutes I will have half of a page of sentences about … nothing. I have always heard that everybody is good at something. I seem to be the exception with my “good at nothing” skills! I probably don’t have much competition at my “doing nothing,” proving that most people are good at … something!
I might want to consider offering classes on “How to do nothing!” The only problem with that idea, as I see it, would be folks wanting to pay “nothing” to learn how to do “nothing.” Maybe I could offer free lunches or something like that! Of course, I’d have to feature only empty plates. That would reduce my costs considerably. Pretty smart, huh? OK, so I won’t be looking forward to your responses!
That’s OK because I just realized my “Docket Gold” legal pad has fifty pages! It’s going to take a bit of time to fill all of them with “nothing.” That’s OK because I’m getting pretty good at “nothing”!
Ironically, I just received a phone call from some lady who said she was with the “Better Business Bureau” wanting to speak to the business owner. I quite honestly told her he is on the phone and can’t talk to you right now! Guess I could have told her, “he is busy … doing nothing!”
Just had a thought. If there is a better business bureau, is there also a really bad business bureau?
Sure hope she calls back so I can ask her. Might even ask if there is a totally creepy or other named business bureaus?
Well, so much for writing about “nothing!”
