WEEKEND WINDS brought down branches, limbs and debris throughout Haxtun and surrounding communities. Weather forced the cancelation of spring sporting events and caused several power outages.
According to the National Weather Service, the largest gust in Haxtun came on April 7 at 2:55 a.m. at 45 miles per hour. Later that same day recordings show gusts anywhere from 40-44 miles per hour between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Saturday.
