The application deadline for the superintendent position at Haxtun School District has closed. According to Haxtun School Board President Amy Kilgour, the District received 10 applications for the lead position.
Over the next few weeks, the Board of Education, with assistance from McPherson & Jacobson, LLC, an executive recruitment and development firm, will narrow those applications down with finalists selected on April 23.
A candidate meet and greet is slated for May 13 at the Haxtun Community Center. Watch future editions of the Herald for more information on the meet and greet.
Candidate interviews are slated for May 13 and 14 with a final selection on May 14. The Board of Education hopes to have a successful candidate in place by July 1.
The local school district opened the superintendent position in early March following the resignation of Marsha Cody. Cody plans to complete her contract with Haxtun Schools through the end of June. She has taken a position with Brush School District.
