Wildcats compete at Yuma

The Fleming Wildcat track team competed in the Yuma Early Qualifier on Saturday, March 23. The event marked the first meet of the season. Results are as follows:

Boys

1,600-meter run: Jared Betley, fifth place, 5:35.02.

Four-by-100-meter relay: Team of Pierson Japp, Travis Johnson, Conner Marchant and Matix Haney, seventh place, 56.41.

Four-by-100-meter throwers' relay: Kale Volkman, David Betley, Christian Polly and Johnson, third place, 57.37.

High jump: Johnson, tie for ninth place, four feet, 10 inches.

Shot put: Betley, eighth place, 35 feet, 7.5 inches.
