Six Fleming student-athletes earn basketball All-Conference honors

Six Fleming Wildcat student-athletes recently earned All-Conference designations following the completion of this year's basketball season. Four members of the Lady Wildcat squad that finished their year in the Regional Championship received the honor. Two players from the boys' team whose season ended at Districts were selected for the post-season accolades.

Senior MadiKay Serrato, a four-year member of the Lady Wildcat varsity basketball team, averaged 8.7 points per game and 4.8 rebounds per game in her final season. She tallied 182 total points and 100 total rebounds to close her career at 690 and 361, respectively. She also added 52 assists and 60 steals this year.

Sophomore Ashley Bornhoft averaged 5.4 points per game and 7.8 boards per game. She closed the season with 114 total points and 163 total rebounds. She also contributed 31 blocks on the year.

Sophomore Ciana Lousberg added 9.2 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per game for the Lady Wildcats this season. She scored a total of 183 points and brought down 85 total rebounds. She also added 47 steals and 47 blocks.

Sophomore Brooke Schaefer averaged 9.6 points per game and 2.6 rebounds per game on the season. She tallied the team-high 202 points this year and added 54 rebounds. In addition, Schaefer added 43 assists and 77 steals.

Senior David Betley, whose MaxPreps stats list only one varsity season with the Wildcats, averaged 10.6 points per game this season. Under the basket, he averaged 7.4 rebounds per game. In total, Betley added 222 points and 155 rebounds this season. He also contributed 17 assists and 24 steals.

Senior Will Bornhoft averaged 6.1 points per game and 5.2 boards per game. He added 128 points and 109 rebounds. Bornhoft also added 29 assists and 18 blocks on the year. He closes his high school career after two season with the Wildcats. He tallied 178 total points, an overall average of 4.2 points per game, and 173 rebounds for an overall average of 4.1 boards per game.

In addition to losing Serrato to graduation this year, the Lady Wildcat squad also loses senior Tori Champ. Betley and Bornhoft were the only to senior members of this year's Wildcat team.
