Wildcats take losses to Stratton & Prairie

The Fleming Wildcats suffered two road losses over the past week at Stratton and Prairie dropping them to 3-6 on the season. Fleming opened the week on Friday night with a 70-26 loss at Stratton and took a 43-24 league loss to Prairie on Saturday.

Senior Will Bornhoft and freshman Conner Marchant each put up the team-high of six points on the scoreboard at Stratton. Bornhoft led in rebounds with eight. Marchant added five boards.

Freshman Treyson Kirkwood followed on the scoreboard with five points. Senior David Betley matched Marchant with five rebounds for the night.

On Saturday, Betley hit double digits in rebounds at Prairie. He brought down nine defensive and one offensive for 10 total boards. He also added six points for his team.

Bornhoft led in scoring for the night with eight points. He followed Betley in rebounds with four total.

Marchant matched Betley in scoring with six points.

The Wildcats were scheduled to play at Akron on Thursday, Jan. 18. Results of that game were not determined as of press time.

On Friday, Fleming is set to return to their home court for league action against Peetz. The Bulldogs enter at 8-2 overall. Games that night are scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
