Will Bornhoft commits to Hastings College

A successful high school golf career has provided the opportunity for Fleming High School senior Will Bornhoft to compete at the collegiate level. On Wednesday, Nov. 29, Bornhoft signed a letter of intent to golf next year with the Hastings College Broncos in Hastings, Neb.

Bornhoft golfed with the Sterling Tigers golf team for all four years of his high school career. He finished in 10th place in the 3A Golf Tournament held at RainDance National Resort & Golf in Windsor in October. Following the completion of his senior season, Bornhoft earned All-Conference honors and was named to the All-State First Team.

Hastings Head Coach Skyler Good said Bornhoft is one of around six golfers that he intends to sign this year. Good hopes to have a team of around 20 total members.

Hastings College is a private, four-year institution and is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. This year's team finished the season in sixth place in the Nebraska Intercollegiate Tournament. Bornhoft plans to major in accounting at Hastings.
