Fuesz competes in Finals in Okla.

Cash Fuesz competed at the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Prairie Circuit Finals, held in Duncan, Okla., Oct. 12-14.

The PRCA comprises 13 circuits. The Prairie Circuit includes Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Cowboys and cowgirls compete throughout the year. Those finishing in the top 12 in money won qualify for the finals. Fuesz came into the finals sitting fourth in total money won.

Fuesz roped and tied three calves in 9.2, 8.9 and 7.9 seconds over the course of three days of rodeo competition, placing third in the second round and winning the third round and the overall average.

Winning the average allows him a spot in the NFR Open held in Colorado Springs, summer 2024.

The NFR Open is an annual championship rodeo event of the PRCA. The event was previously known as the National Circuit Finals Rodeo from 1987 through 2021, before being renamed as the NFR Open in 2022. Athletes earn a spot into the event by winning either the previous year-end championship Pro-Rodeo circuits or the aggregate title at their Circuit Finals.

Fuesz is the son of Cory and Heather Fuesz, Eureka, Kan. and grandson of Gary and Vicki Fuesz, Haxtun.
