Haxtun Chamber of Commerce to host Trunk or Treat on main street

The Haxtun Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Halloween Trunk or Treat event in downtown Haxtun on Tuesday, Oct. 31. In addition to the Trunk or Treat, there will also be a hot dog feed and costume contest at the Haxtun Fire Hall and Haunted House at the Haxtun High School Ag Shop.

The Trunk or Treat event will be downtown from 4-5:30 p.m. The goal is line main street with decorated vehicles to allow children to trick or treat out of the trunks of vehicles. Businesses are encouraged to participate in passing out candy.

For more information on participating in the Trunk or Treat contact Haxtun Chamber of Commerce Director Jessica Ayala at (970) 466-5540. “We would love to completely fill up main street with cars,” Ayala said.

At 5 p.m., Haxtun Volunteer Fireman plan to host a hot dog feed until 7 p.m. at the fire hall. The annual costume contest at the fire hall is set to begin at 6 p.m. Haxtun’s FFA will host a Haunted House from 6-9 p.m.
