The Fleming Wildcats traveled to Weldona last Friday where they faced off with the Warriors in league action on the gridiron. Fleming entered at 1-1 in 6-man League one; Weldon Valley at 0-2.
A commanding 50-25 road victory last week advanced the Wildcats to 2-1 in the league. They currently hold the third spot behind Briggsdale at 3-0 and Peetz and 3-1.
Individual stats for the game were not reported on MaxPreps.
This week brings the Prairie Mustangs to Fleming for league play. The Mustangs currently sit in the fourth spot in the league with a conference record of 1-2.
Stat comparisons of the two teams provided on MaxPreps favor the Wildcats in yards per game. Fleming averages 286 rushing yards per game compared to just over 94 for the Mustangs. Prairie averages 96 passing yards per game; Fleming averages 16.
Defensively, the Mustangs out tackle the Wildcats by an average of 12 tackles per contest.
Kickoff on Friday is slated for 7 p.m.
