Gage Ferguson

Gage Ferguson went home to be with the Lord in the early morning of Sept. 28, 2023 after just moving back home to Haxtun the day prior.

Gage was born to Lonnie Ferguson and BreAnn Reed on April 27, 2004 in Denver.

Gage attended Haxtun High School and was planning to start his training with a local airplane mechanic on Monday. From birth Gage's life was filled with way too many medical procedures, needles and hospital stays that anyone should have to endure, always handling it with much patience, grace and courage. Through it all he was filled with a larger than life light that was rarely dimmed. He had the best, biggest, ornery, bashful smile and a twinkle in his eye that could melt an entire room! Gage had a contagious zest for life and was a great example to not take things too seriously and always be grateful for every day. He always kept everyone on their toes with his witty nature and his love for animals. Gage's larger than life servant's heart and incredibly kind spirit touched all ... he was a gift to all that knew him. His love for the littles, to include his cousins and most recently his niece was a blessing and joy to watch. Gage's passion for food, cooking and his natural culinary instincts were second to none and have inspired us all.

Along with his parents Lonnie Ferguson and Tonya and BreAnn Reed and Greg Larson he leaves behind his beloved brothers Bailey and wife Payten, Tanner and Landon; niece Harper; girlfriend Lilee; and countless cousins, family and friends.

Gage is preceded in death by his grammy Cheryl Ferguson; grandfather Daniel Currier; and grandfather Ivar Larson.

Memorial services were held Oct. 9 at the Haxtun Methodist Church with inurnment following at the Haxtun Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be sent in memory of Gage to All Points West G.S.P. Rescue (german shorthair pointer) who brought his best four-legged friend, Winston, into his life c/o Tennant Funeral Home, P.O Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
