MMH sponsors fashion show fundraiser event

Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke is one of the sponsors of a fashion show fundraiser event in Sterling on Oct. 15 from 2-4 p.m. in the Dorothy Corsberg Theater on the Northeastern Junior College campus. The fundraiser is hosted by Encouraging Sisters, a breast cancer support group serving women in northeastern Colorado. Proceeds from ticket sales and donor donations will be used to provide some support to women facing or going through breast cancer in the upcoming year.

Melissa Memorial Hospital is the home of the Londa Wernet Bradford Cancer Center, a facility dedicated to serving the community with mammography, chemotherapy, physical therapy and other cancer care services.

Headliners for the fashion show are The Turquoise Chandelier, Paoli, and LuElla Women’s Boutique, Yuma. Clothing from both of these boutiques will be available for purchase after the show. Other sponsors include David Walsh Cancer Center, Sterling and B-106 Radio.

Tickets are available at The Turquoise Chandelier in Paoli, located on the south side of Highway 6, open Tuesday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and at Creative Traditions, 115 S. Interocean in Holyoke, open Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tickets can also be found at locations in Sterling, Yuma, Otis, Akron, Brush and Fort Morgan or by calling Bev Stafford, Founder of Encouraging Sisters, at (970) 580-4415.
