Two pitchers and the Bulldogs catcher received All-Conference honors at the conclusion of the 2023 season. Haxtun came out on top as the 1A State Baseball Champions with an over 23-2 record. Seniors Michael Gerk, the team's catcher, and pitchers, senior Jerron Turney and junior Kaiden Schelling were named to the All-Conference list by a vote of head coaches from the Lower Platte League.
Gerk, a four-sport athlete for the Bulldogs, registered a .368 batting average this season. He had a .442 on base percentage along with a .984 fielding percentage. Gerk tallied 28 hits, 27 runs and 23 runs batted in his senior season. In his four years with the Bulldogs, Gerk had a .345 batting average, a .448 on base percentage and a .976 fielding precenting. Gerk had a total of 48 hits, 51 runs and 39 RBIs.
Turney took 10 wins on the mound in his senior season for Haxtun. He registered a total of 87 strike outs. Turney also had a .344 batting average, a .512 on base percentage and a .870 fielding percentage. He also tallied 21 hits, 22 runs and 19 RBIs. In his career with the Bulldogs, Turney struck out 132 batters. He also registered a .383 batting average in his four years, a .571 on base percentage and a .870 fielding percentage. Turney had 41 hits, 42 RBIs and 49 runs in his four years of high school.
In his junior year, Schelling had a .925 fielding percentage, a .358 batting average and a .570 on base percentage. He registered 24 hits, 22 RBIs and 37 runs. As pitcher, he claimed six wins on the mound while striking out a total of 52 batters.
