The Fleming Wildcat track team returned to action last week following a nearly two-week break. The group traveled to Wray for the Dick Evans Invitational on Thursday, April 20. Top-10 placers from that meet are as follows:
Girls
100-meter dash: Kally Kirkwood, tie for fourth, 13.45.
200-meter dash: Kirkwood, second, 27.64.
400-meter dash: Siena Donnelson, fifth, 1:10.59.
800-meter run: Ciana Lousberg, fourth, 2:49.95.
1,600-meter run: Emoree Lousberg, eighth, 6:39.11.
Four-by-100-meter relay: Team of Lexi Schaefer, Brooke Schaefer, Ciana Lousberg and Maddy Zink, ninth, 57.88.
Four-by-200-meter relay: Team of Lexi Schaefer, Brooke Schaefer, MadiKay Serrato and Ashley Bornhoft, 10th, 2:06.46.
800-meter sprint medley: Team of Donnelson, Maddy Harms, Lexi Schaefer and Kirkwood, third, 2:00.13.
Long jump: Donnelson, sixth, 14 feet, three inches.
High jump: Ashley Bornhoft, tie for sixth, four feet, five inches.
Pole vault: Serrato, seventh, seven feet, four inches.
The girls’ team finished the day in ninth place overall out of 22 teams competing.
Boys
200-meter dash: Nolan Japp, ninth, 24.67.
800-meter run: Lincoln Castillo, ninth, 2:25.33.
3,200-meter run: Jared Betley, sixth, 12:30.35.
Long jump: Japp, 10th, 18 feet, one inch.
The boys’ team finished the day in 18th place overall out of 22 teams competing.
The Wildcat track team is scheduled to compete at Haxtun Relays on Friday, April 28, at the Akron Invitational on Saturday, April 29 and at the NCL League meet on Wednesday, May 3.
