The conclusion of the 2022-23 basketball season brought All-Conference honors for 12 Fleming Wildcat student-athletes.
Seven members of the Lady Wildcat squad that finished the year at 16-9 after participating in the State basketball tournament two weeks ago earned All-Conference designations. Seniors Maddy Harms, Kally Kirkwood, Lexi Schaefer and Laney Schliesser along with junior MadiKay Serrato were selected for the honor. Freshmen Ashley Bornhoft and Ciana Lousberg were named All-Conference Honorable Mention.
The boys' team, who closed their season in the Regional Tournament at 13-8, had five members who earned All-Conference selections. Seniors Blake Feather, Braylen Feather, Kolten Houser and Nolan Japp were named All-Conference. Senior Harry Harms was chosen for All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Maddy Harms spent much of her season under the net as a post for the Lady Wildcats. She averaged 6.5 rebounds per game after bringing down a total of 157. She added 122 points and 27 steals in her final high school season.
Kirkwood made leading contributions to her team in several categories. She scored a total of 277 points with 76 assists. She brought down 131 rebounds and stole the ball 85 times throughout the year.
Schaefer tallied 69 steals in her senior season. She scored 186 points and earned 33 assists. Under the net, she grabbed 56 rebounds.
Schliesser grabbed 92 rebounds over the course of the season. She added 71 points for the Lady Wildcats while earning 13 assists and 35 steals.
Serrato contributed 202 points and 59 assists to the Lady Wildcat squad in her junior season. She brought down 101 rebounds and stole the ball 68 times.
In their debut season, Bornhoft and Lousberg filled major roles on the court for the Lady Wildcats. Bornhoft grabbed 77 boards this season and scored 40 points under the net. Lousberg tacked on 129 points with 26 assists and brought down 71 rebounds.
Blake Feather added 120 points with 52 assists for the Wildcats this season. He brought down 81 rebounds and nabbed 25 steals.
Braylen Feather hit triple digits in three categories for the season. He added 334 points with 112 assists. He brought down 182 rebounds and stole the ball 67 times.
Houser contributed triple digits in points and rebounds. He grabbed 125 boards, 26 steals and blocked 33 shots. Offensively, he added 306 points and 56 assists.
Japp also contributed triple digits in points and rebounds. Offensively he scored 175 points with 51 assists. He brought down 129 rebounds and stole the ball 27 times.
Harry Harms is the third Wildcat to hit triple digits in points and rebounds. He added 104 points and 179 total boards. He stole the ball 32 times and blocked nine shot attempts.
