Lock closes swimming career

HAXTUN SENIOR Aly Lock finished up her high school swimming career by competing at the Patriot League Conference Swim Meet and at the 3A Colorado State Swim Meet. At the Patriot League Conference Meet, Lock had an impressive showing qualifying for finals and placing in all four of her events. She placed seventh in the backstroke with a time of 1:13 and placed 13th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 0:30.09. Lock and her 200-yard medley relay team placed third with a time of 2:05 and also placed third in the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:04. She qualified for the 3A Colorado State Swim Meet in three relays, but as rules allow only competing in two relays at state. She competed at the 3A Colorado State Meet at Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center in Thorton, Feb. 10-11 in the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay. Members of the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay include Tayla Martin, Lock, Summer Martin and Adison Goldenstein.

Lock is the daughter of Brian and Michelle Lock and the granddaughter of Mike and Debbi Wolff and Don and Bev Lock, all of Haxtun.
