Hadeen earns All-Star MVP

Ryan "Woody" Hadeen spent much of his summer playing with the Princeton WhistlePigs, a team in the Appalachian League. The Appalachian League is a collegiate summer baseball league that operates in the Appalachian regions of Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.

On Tuesday, July 26, Hadeen played in the Appalachian League All-Star game and was named the 2022 Appalachian League All-Star MVP. He hit a two-run home run and scored the game winning run. Hadeen went two for three, tallied two runs batted in, had two runs, reached base on balls once and registered four stolen bases in the All-Star game.

In his summer season with the Appalachian League WhistlePigs, Hadeen batted .267 with seven doubles, three triples, drove in 17 runs, had a OBP of .429 and swiped 13 bases in 14 attempts.

For the last eight games of the summer, he will be playing in the Cape Cod league for the YD_RedSox.

Hadeen will be a junior at UC Irvine in Irvine, Calif. this fall. He plays infielder for the UCI Anteaters. He is the son of Scott and Amy Hadeen, Temecula, Calif. and the grandson of Terry and Phyllis Hadeen, Haxtun.
