Lightning sparks fire

LIGHTNING STRIKES were close and prevalent Sunday evening. A storm that rolled through produced thunder and lightning that sparked a fire south of Haxtun near the home of Tyler and Laura Knode. The fire started in a tree row near the couple's home but was extinguished quickly by the Haxtun Volunteer Fire Department. Flames from the fire could be seen even in town.
