Bulldog track team competes in Dick Evans Invite last Thursday at Wray

The Dick Evans Invitation in Wray saw competitors from all over eastern Colorado, including Haxtun High School’s boys and girls track teams on Thursday, April 21.

Top 10 results from the meet are as follows:

Girls

The Lady Bulldogs earned a total of 30 points at the Dick Evans Invitation; good enough for an 11th place finish.

400-meter dash: Aliyah Engle, fifth, 1:09.44; Taylor Schram, ninth, 1:12.69.

800-meter run: Heily Avery, eighth, 3:01.83.

Four-by-100 meter relay team: seventh, 56.95.

Four-by-200 meter relay team: ninth, 2:03.50.

Four-by-400 meter relay team: third, 4:46.68.

High jump: Jayleigh Bullard, fourth, four feet, six inches.

Long jump: Allie Thompson, eighth, 14 feet, 11.75 inches.

Discus: Cassidy Goddard, first, 107 feet, eight inches.

Shot put: Goddard, eighth, 30 feet, one inch.

Boys

100-meter dash: Kyle Fryrear, third, 12.05; Owen Knode, eighth, 12.57.

200-meter dash: Fryrear, fourth, 24.34; Michael Gerk, seventh, 24.69; Knode, ninth, 24.86.

The Haxtun Bulldogs racked up a total of 50 points for a final seventh place finish at the Dick Evans Invitational.
