Haxtun track teams come away with 6th and 3rd place finishes in Yuma

The Haxtun track team opened the 2022 season at the Yuma Early Qualifier meet on Saturday, March 26.

The following is a list of the top-10 winners of each event, both boys and girls:

Girls

100-meter-dash: Cassidy Goddard, 10th, 15:06.

200-meter dash: Allie Thompson, second, 29:32.

800-meter run: K’lyn Bornhoft, fifth, 3:05.53

100-meter hurdles: Jayleigh Bullard, 10th, 22:08.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: fourth, 58:04.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: fourth, 2:05:58.

800-meter sprint medley relay team: sixth, 2:23.85.

Four-by-400-meter relay team: fourth, 5:10.65.

High jump: Bullard, second, four feet, six inches.

Long jump: Thompson, second, 14 feet, 3.25 inches; Hadley Feik, 10th place, 12 feet, 4.75 inches.

Discus: Goddard, second, 103 feet, three inches.

Shot put: Goddard, sixth, 29 feet, three inches.

The Lady Bulldogs scored a total of 56 points for a sixth place finish.

Boys

100-meter dash: Kyle Fryrear, first, 11:79; Owen Knode, fourth, 12:01; Ryland Wolff, tie for seventh, 12:28; Michael Gerk, tie for seventh, 12:28.

200-meter dash: Fryrear, first, 23:66; Knode, third, 24:35; Wolff, fifth, 24:78; Isaac Andersen, ninth, 25:92.

400-meter dash: David Avery, fourth, 57:12.

Four-by-100-meter relay team: first, 46:71.

Four-by-100-meter throwers relay team: second, 56:15.

Four-by-200-meter relay team: second, 1:38.75.

Four-by-400-meter relay team: seventh, 4:25.33.

Long jump: Wolff, third, 18 feet, 7.5 inches.

Triple jump: Gerk, third, 37 feet, 7.75 inches.

Discus: Osman Coss, sixth, 103 feet, two inches.

Shot put: Coss, 35 feet, 11 inches.

The Bulldogs took third place with a total of 81 points Saturday in Yuma.
