Fleming track competes in first meet of '22 season

The Fleming Wildcat track team traveled to Yuma on Saturday, March 26 where they participated in the first meet of the season — The Yuma Early Qualifier. Top-10 placers from that meet are as follows:

Girls

1,600-meter run: Madi Serrato, first place, 6:24.99.

Four-by-200-meter relay: Team of Lexi Schaefer, Maddy Zink, Kally Kirkwood and Maddy Harms, second place, 2:04.46.

800-meter sprint medley relay: Team of Schaefer, Zink, Kirkwood and Harms, second place, 2:05.73.

Triple jump: Schaefer, third place, 30 feet, 11 inches.

Pole vault: Serrato, ninth place, six feet, three inches.

Shot put: Laney Schliesser, eighth place, 26 feet, 11 inches.

The girls’ team finished in seventh place with 32 points for the day.

The Wildcat track team is scheduled to travel to Wiggins on Friday, April 1 for the Wiggins Invitational. Events are set to begin at 9 a.m.
