This year's annual FFA oyster fry was one for the books with a great turnout and even better food. The Haxtun oyster fry is a gesture of thanks to the community for all the support given to the local FFA chapter. Community support plays a huge role in funding the chapter with the member auction.
"I know I speak for all of the chapter when I say thank you for all of the support that this community and our parents have given to our chapter and its members. It's greatly appreciated," said Cash Nab, Haxtun FFA Vice President.
The night started out with FFA officers answering questions about what FFA has taught them and there were some great responses. After that, guests and members were treated to an oyster fry dinner served by the Officers. The advisory committee and commerce members donated their time to prepare the meal.
This event is an opportunity for FFA members to come together and show appreciation for the community who supports the local chapter.
