Annual Halloween festivities held at HVFD

Colder temperatures didn't stop children of all ages and even the adults from dressing in their best Halloween costumes to celebrate Halloween in downtown Haxtun on Sunday evening. The Haxtun Volunteer Firemen, in conjunction with Haxtun High School students, hosted the annual hot dog feed and costume contest at the fire hall on Oct. 31.

Winners from each division are below:

One and under: Carter Teel, first.

Ages one to five: Amber Edwards, first, Easton Salyards, second, Enzo Grilli, third.

Kindergarten and First Grade: Kortlyn Carpenter, first, Emerson McClanahan, second, Ben Henry, third.

Second and Third Grade: Blake Imhof, first, Remi McClanahan, second, Mollie Ham, third.

Fourth and Fifth Grade: Max Firme, first, Haylie Carpenter, Peyton Mavis, Taivyn Bullard and Hayden Cochran, second, Nico Stanley, third.

Junior High and High School: Paige Oliver and Leah Edwards, first, Emma Henry and Jayleigh Bullard, second, Carter Imhof, third.

Adults: Jessica Bullard, first, Shad Grilli, second, Jennifer Kaufman, third.
