HAXTUN ELEMENTARY students have taken advantage of warm afternoons while logging miles for 100 Mile Club. Now in its fourth year at Haxtun Schools, 100 Mile Club encourages youth to be active by walking or running, tracking their progress and earning rewards.
The 100 Mile Club started at Haxtun Schools with grant funds from Northeast Colorado Board of Education Services. That grant lasted through the first three years and since then, Haxtun Schools decided to keep the Club active.
Students participate in 100 Mile Club during physical education class as well as after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, weather permitting.
