What can we reason but from what we know? -Alexander Pope
Letter to the Editor
Letter to the editor,
I see a parallel to what is happening in our country. We have become Nineveh of book of Jonah fame. Our political system has moved from both sides selling us what their interpretation of center is and we should buy into it. Long story short, the left has sold out we the people to violence and destruction and threats. With a biased often dishonest press, though less violent, the right is not helping to right the course. At all. So, pick your poison?
Back to Nineveh, we the people have been blessed with a Jonah who is warning us to repent or we’re toast. Ricki tic chop chop. I believe it. Today’s Jonah, The Donald, is the antithesis to modern politicians. It is only cheer leaders are we the people. So, if reelected, we need to hold his not clay feet to the fire daily. Rioters? Jail. Rogue judges, DAs, governors? You’re fired. Can’t do that? Just did. China? We’re done.
But we as Nineveh need to repent long term. We must demand a working press. Edward R. Murrow come home. A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves. Choose wisely.
Mike Ralph,
Haxtun
