Miner earns State FCCLA office

Haxtun's Jeff Miner has been selected to serve as a Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Officer for the coming school year. The soon to be junior has been chosen as Vice President of Membership.

To be considered for an FCCLA state office, candidates must submit an online application, resume and three letters of recommendation. Then in February, candidates come together in an online forum to give a two to three-minute introduction speech about themselves, the FCCLA creed by memorization and a one-minute speech where they use an object to relate their leadership style.
