Haxtun Junior High poets recognized for creative writing skills

Six Haxtun sixth graders were recently honored for their writing skills in the Creative Communications Poetic Power Spring Poetry Contest. All six are in Kristi Boerner’s English classes at Haxtun Junior High.

Students Tessa Gales, Rozylnn Crossland, Kinsley Koberstein, Olivia Stone, Corbin Andersen and Aloni Gress each entered the contest and were selected to have their pieces published as part of the contest.

The Creative Communication organization is devoted to the promotion of writing, teaching and appreciation of student writing. The intent of the student writing contests is to motivate student writers. The top entries are published in an anthology that will record the creative insights of student writers.
