Haxtun FBLA competes virtually at State Leadership Conference

The Haxtun High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter attended the first virtual Colorado FBLA State Leadership Conference this year. The local Chapter had 12 members compete at this year's conference in all different competitive events.

Haxtun's Tanley Andersen, Azariah Calderon and K'Lyn Bornhoft worked together to complete the PEAK award and received the highest level being the PEAK V award. The Chapter also had nine finalists that placed in the top 10 in the State.

Andersen was the State Champion in Electronic Career Portfolio, Brooklyn Plumb placed third in Intro to Public Speaking, Calderon placed fifth in Community Service Project, Grace Gibson placed fifth in E-Business, Brayden Clark placed fifth in Intro to IT, Bella Tori placed sixth in Local Chapter Annual Business Report, Alex Luna placed seventh in Electronic Career Portfolio, Taylor Schram placed eighth in Intro to Parli Pro and Kendrick Fetzer placed 10th in Economics.

Emma Duvall competed in Business Communications and Kristopher Hadeen competed in Intro to FBLA as well at this year's State Leadership Conference. Andersen has also received the honor to serve Colorado FBLA by being elected as the Colorado District IV State Officer for the 2020-21 season.
