Haxtun Health hosted their third annual Health Fair on Saturday, June 1. Each year the Health Fair takes place at the Haxtun Community Center on the first Saturday of June. 13 years ago June 14, 1939 Death: Viola Hernden, 13, granddaughter of Z.A. Hernden, lost her life by drowning at Oakdale, Calif. Equipment for heating the water in the municipal swimming pool at Haxtun was being adjusted this week, and assurance was given that in the future the water would be warm enough to suit all patrons.
