The price per paper of The Haxtun-Fleming Herald has increased. For the first time in 15 years, Publishers have been forced to increase the price of the newspaper. Individual papers are now $2. Issues of the Herald can be found at Haxtun Super’s, Zip-Trip and Pi Kappa Cino in Haxtun. Papers at those newsstands will reflect the increase this week. However, yearly subscription costs will remain the same. An hour-long March meeting of the Frenchman Board of Education focused on preparing for the upcoming year. Following administration reports, board members voted to approve Principal Kortney Firme’s contract and salary schedules for Fleming in 2024-25. In her report to the Board, Firme gave an update on spring sporting events, field trips, concerts and contests. She said plans are in the works for end-of-year assessments. Bulldog baseball advanced to 2-2 on the year following double-header action at home against Wiggins on Saturday.
