  • Town of Haxtun looks at ways to finance curb & gutter replacements in conjunction with street project

    As the Town of Haxtun prepares for a major street project later this year, discussion surrounding curb and gutter replacement along those streets has begun. According to Superintendent Ron Carpenter, he recently sent letters to 18 residents who have curb and gutter along streets that are being replaced. Hopes are to also replace the curb and gutter, which will be at the property owners expense.     Leo Leslie Fisbeck passed away on March 1, 2022 at the Melissa Memorial Hospital in Holyoke at the age of 93 after a battle with cancer. Leo was born on Oct. 5, 1928 to Emil H. and Elnora T. (Krueger) Fisbeck in rural southern Phillips County. He had three brothers and four sisters. In 1930, at the age of two his family moved to Paoli where he resided for 91 years.
