    The American Legion Auxiliary plans to observe National Poppy Day on Friday, May 22. Helping us by participating in a Poppy Poster contest are Haxtun's fifth grade art class. Posters will be displayed around town in windows of businesses. Paige Firme took first place and will receive $20; Torrie Wernsman earned second place and $15; Emma-Leigh Myers Oberle and Mollie Wernsman tied for third place and will receive $10 each.
