    Colorado FFA State CDEs were held primarily at the Colorado State University campus on Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1. The Haxtun FFA chapter sent 26 to compete at the state competitions. Most of the group enjoyed a game of wiffle ball in the parking lot while the Flora Culture team competed on Saturday. On Saturday night, the group went out to eat at Torchy's Tacos.     As always, National FFA Week was extra busy for the Haxtun FFA Chapter. There was a long list of activities planned for the week, Feb. 21-24. On Tuesday, the Chapter held the annual petting zoo. Classes preschool through sixth grade came and a few local daycares came as well.   • A journey through Haxtun FFA's recent trip to National Convention

    This year, the Haxtun FFA Chapter had the opportunity to send 14 members to FFA's National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. Members left on Oct. 24 and returned home on Oct. 30. The group spent all seven days traveling, attending conventions, and exploring the city. Day one began with a 7:30 a.m. departure from Holyoke.     Haxtun FFA started their year off by bringing back the beloved Kickoff BBQ/Lock-in held on Monday, Sept. 18, the start of homecoming week. All members and their families were invited to join the chapter in eating a meal including burgers, hotdogs and a variety of sides and desserts provided by members.
