    A lengthy discussion on the damage to Haxtun’s main street took up almost the first hour of a March 2 Haxtun Town Council meeting last week. The majority of the damage, in the 100 block of South Colorado Avenue, seems to be from expansion following the main street project that took place seven years ago.     The Haxtun Bulldog basketball season come to an end last week in the first round of the Region 2 Tournament. The team faced off with the similar ranked Longmont Christian Warriors on Friday afternoon at Englewood High School. Longmont Christian got an early jump in the Bulldogs, putting up 15 points while holding Haxtun to just four in the first quarter.     Despite a hard-fought, first half battle, the Haxtun Lady Bulldogs suffered a season-ending loss to the Merino Lady Rams in the first round of Region 2 Tournament action at Englewood High School on Friday afternoon.     Fleming seniors will be on their way to Arizona next month for their final class trip. The Frenchman Board of Education approved their class trip during a meeting in mid-February. According to information from Superintendent Steve McCracken, 10 of the 12 seniors at Fleming High School plan to attend the trip, slated for March 17-20 in Scottsdale, Ariz. with parent sponsors Harry and Lynette Harms and Mike and Kim Nolde.
